Safety Considerations

Tesamorelin has been well studied and is FDA-approved, with a strong safety profile. The most common side effects are injection site irritation, mild edema, muscle stiffness, or joint discomfort—typically related to increased GH levels. It does not suppress natural GH production and does not cause acromegaly when dosed appropriately. Because of its strong visceral fat–reducing properties, Tesamorelin may improve cardiometvabolic markers, but should still be used under medical supervision in individuals with diabetes, active malignancy, or cardiovascular disease.
